- Most consecutive wins for India in one-day internationals under Virat Kohli's captaincy. India won nine consecutive matches from 06/07/2017 to 24/09/2017.
- David Warner became the 8th player to score a century in his 100th ODI match. He scored 124 runs vs India in Banglore ODI.
- Virat Kohli became the fastest batsman to score 2000 ODI runs as a captain he achieved this foot in 36 innings. AB de Villiers achieved this foot is in 41 innings.
- Rohit Sharma holds the record of hitting most sixes against Australia and second most against an opposition in ODIs. He has hit 58 sixes against Australia in 28 matches.
- Indian openers set another record of most century opening stands in a calendar year in ODIs. They have eight number of century stands in 2017.
- Rohit Sharma became the fastest Indian to score 2000 ODI runs in India (by Innings). He took only 42 innings to hit 2000 ODI runs.
- Aaron Finch and David Warner set the record of second highest opening stand against India in ODIs. They made 231 runs partnership for the 1st wicket in Banglore ODI. Herschelle Gibbs and Garry Kirsten's partnership of 235 runs against India still in top.
- MS Dhoni became the first wicket-keeper batsman to hit 100 half centuries in International cricket after Kumar Sangakkara.
